MLK - Sons Of Former Slaves and Sons Of Former Slave Masters - Together
This is yet another in the series "Racism That Did Not Happen".
What you see is a picture of a "Klan boy" with a Confederate flag plastered to the back of his jeans jacket. Alright - he is not in the Klan but there would be a good chance that he would be if this were 1939 instead of 2009.
He clearly is friends with this Black assistant manager in this particular grocery store.
They were talking, face to face for no less than 15 minutes. The "would be Klan boy" was detailing some recent rock concert or music show that he attended. The Black assistant manager listened with great interest.
There was no apprehension between either of them.
The rebel flag that was on the back of the "would be Klan boy" was of no issue in regards to their relationship.
Indeed the Confederate flag is a symbol of hatred to some and a symbol of pride to others. It is incumbent upon those who take pride in it to STOP the haters from making use of this system for their own perverted, hate-filled purposes.
Just as many Americans ask the American Muslims to renounce the violence executed by their Muslim brothers in the name of Islam so is the need for the "Heritage Not Hatred" people to speak out against their brothers who do so.
